Mangala Magnus Cup-2023

Mangala Magnus Cup-2023. First ever Inter Physiotherapy Collegiate box Criket League was organised by Mangala College of Physiotherapy on 27th & 28th January 2023 in Mangala Magnus artificial turf Ground, Neermarga, Mangalore. Total 29 teams (16boys, 13 girls) participated in the league.

Dr. Sadashiva Shanbhoug (District Surgeon and Superintendent), Dr. Jayaprakash (Physical Educational Director Gokarnanatheshwara College Mangalore), Dr. U.T Ifthikar Ali (president IAP Karnataka) graced the occasion along with other dignitaries Dr. Ganapathi P (Chairman MGEI), Dr. Anitha G Bhat (vice Chairman MGEI), Prof. Pratijna Suhasini (Dean, MGEI), Dr. Marie Elizabeth Pinto (Principal, New Mangala College of Nursing), Dr. Praveen Rai (Arthroscopy & Joint Replacement Surgeon, Mangala Hospital, Mangalore), Dr. Vaishali (BOS Chairperson RGUHS, Bangalore). Principals of various college of physiotherapy joined them for the inauguration.

Dr. Sadashiva Shanbhoug said “such tournaments will help you to know each other and will also develop leadership qualities, team work & time management & urge the students to play in good sportsmanship”

Dr. Jayaprakash said “there are athletes in and around Mangalore especially in Mangala Stadium and their injuries are not taken care and I request various physiotherapy colleges give their services to those athletes’”

Organizing Chaiman Mangala Magnus Cup, Dr. Bharath K. H welcomed the gathering, Dr. Anjali Compered the event and coordinator, Mangala Magnus Cup Dr. Ranjith Poojary proposed Vote of thanks.

Both Boys and girls Team from Laxmi Memorial College of physiotherapy bagged the winners’ prize And Nitte institute of Physiotherapy boys’ team and kanachur college of Physiotherapy girls’ team were the runners.
